Thank You, Lord, for an incredible month of July!
With the beauty of our distinct Canadian seasons, summer gives us such a
wonderful opportunity to slow down, enjoy God’s creation, and appreciate the many
blessings He has placed around us.
Whether it is spending time with family, sharing a meal with friends, enjoying the
outdoors, or simply taking a quiet moment to breathe and give thanks, these summer
months remind us of what a wonderful gift life truly is.
Most of all, they remind us of what an incredible blessing it is to be children of God.
The same Hand that created the beauty we see around us, is the Hand that holds
us, guides us, sustains us, and watches over us each day.
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the gift of life, for our families, for our Church
family, and most of all, for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
A Walk Back in Time
As we enjoy the freedom and blessings we have today, it is also good to remember
those who came before us and the sacrifices they made for the sake of the Gospel.
In the early days of the Christian Church, the followers of Jesus faced tremendous
opposition. The Apostles were called to share the Good News of Christ in a world
that often did not understand or welcome their message.
One of those faithful servants was James, the brother of John, whom Jesus referred
to alongside his brother as one of the “Sons of Thunder” (Mark 3:17).
Following Jesus’ Resurrection, James remained among the Apostles and was part of
the early Christian community in Jerusalem. His life ultimately ended in martyrdom
under King Herod Agrippa I, as recorded in Acts 12.
James’ story reminds us that following Jesus has always required courage, faith, and
a willingness to remain faithful regardless of the circumstances.
Today, we are blessed to worship Jesus openly and to share our faith with our
families, friends, neighbours, and community. Yet around the world, many of our
brothers and sisters in Christ continue to face opposition, hardship, and persecution
because of their faith.
Let us remember them in our prayers.
May the Lord strengthen them, encourage them, protect them, and remind them that
they are never alone. May they find refuge and peace in the presence of the
Almighty, and may the Light of Christ continue to shine through their lives.
And may James’ example encourage each of us to remain faithful to Jesus in our
own lives — not only in difficult moments, but in the everyday choices we make as
husbands and wives, parents and children, friends, neighbours, and members of the
Body of Christ.

Worship, Fellowship and Community
July was a wonderful month of worship, fellowship, and community here at
Belfountain Village Church!
We were especially thankful for the opportunity for Pastor Fred and Judee to take
some well-deserved time away for their summer holiday. We hope they enjoyed a
wonderful season of rest, relaxation, and quality time together, making many special
memories along the way.
While they were away, we were blessed by several members of our Church family
who stepped forward to share God’s Word with us.
A heartfelt thank you to Marc Schmid, Brad Wilson, and Davy Jacobs for sharing
encouraging messages and sermons over the past few weeks. We are also very
thankful to Hannah Campbell for blessing us through music and worship.
We were so happy to welcome Pastor Fred and Judee safely home, and we are
excited for what the Lord has in store for the coming weeks!
Pastor Fred is doing an exciting four-week sermon series on the life of David!
David’s life is filled with lessons about faith, courage, worship, relationships, failure,
forgiveness, and the incredible grace of God – “A man after God’s own heart.”
We look forward to walking through his story together and discovering what God
wants to teach each of us through it.
BVC Youth
Our BVC Youth had a wonderful time together on July 25 at Kimberley’s house!
The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather as our youth enjoyed the pool, games,
delicious burgers, and plenty of time simply being together and enjoying fellowship.
The evening ended with a meaningful Bible study exploring “The Three Voices We
Hear” — God’s voice, the enemy’s voice, and our own voice.
What a wonderful opportunity for our young people to learn how to recognize and
hear God’s voice, understand His Word, the importance of prayer, and make wise
choices as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Our next Youth Event will be on August 15 at the Belfountain Conservation, and we
are anticipating another great day together!
As a Church family, let’s continue to pray faithfully for our youth.
Let’s pray that they will know how deeply they are loved by God, that they will grow
in their relationship with our Saviour, that they will seek His guidance, and that they
will become strong, compassionate, joyful young men and women who live boldly for
Christ.

A Word of Encouragement for August
As we step into August, let’s remember the faithful men and women who have gone
before us and whose lives continue to encourage us in our own walk with Christ.
Their stories remind us that following Jesus is not always about having all the
answers or knowing exactly what lies ahead.
Sometimes, it simply means taking the next step in faith.
It means trusting God with our families, our relationships, our future, and even the
things we do not understand.
As parents, grandparents, husbands, wives, young people, and friends, may we
encourage one another to keep our eyes on Jesus.
May our homes be places where Christ is honoured.
May our families be places where grace is freely given, forgiveness is readily offered,
and God’s Word is treasured.
And may our Church continue to be a place where people feel welcomed, loved,
encouraged, and pointed toward Jesus.
Whatever August may bring, let us face it together with faith, joy, and complete trust
in our Lord.
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude
of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one
voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
~ Romans 15:5-6
